Prints by Robert H. Nisbet
(1879-1961)
Nisbet resided in Providence, Rhode Island and South Kent, Connecticut at various times. Exhibited widely and mostly in the northeastern states, but also in California. He was a prolific painter and print maker; however his prints here seem tentative and experimental be they ever so lovely. He was prominent in the National Academy of Design as well as many artists' societies in the 1920s. He taught at the Rhode Island School of Design and Brown University.
All prints have full margins. Image measurements are for the plate marks (engravings).
