Pieter Bertius' Tabularum Geographicarum Contractarum was a popular geography issued in various editions in the late sixteenth and early seventeenth century. It was often issued in small size with a complement of miniature maps of all parts of the world. These maps were drawn and engraved by different mapmakers, but all are fascinating in their historical depictions and charming in their small size and attractive appearance. These rare maps are delightful maps for collectors of particular areas of the world or for anyone interested in early maps.
