A series of lovely images of various country homes, castles, abbeys, and other "picturesque edifices" of England issued in two volumes. The text was written by Samuel Carter Hall, an English critic and journalist. The images are based on drawings by a number of prominent artists and the buildings are all depicted as populated by figures shown in the dress of the period when the edifice was first built.
Each priced at $35, except as noted.
